In this materialized present-day life it seems that spiritual energy has been forgotten. In Asian cultures, objects as well as organisms are thought to have spirits within themselves. Artwork is not an exception. I believe well-crafted masterpieces possess charismatic energy that fascinates and intrigues the viewer. Even after the works are taken down, some energy must remain in the museum, drawing the audience back. The visitors, however never really know what force is making them return.

The silhouettes that appear on this wall correspond to the paintings of the previous exhibition, Divine Interventions: Santos from the Permanent Collection. At the end of each day when the museum staff turn off the lights, their spirits reappear.

Special Thanks to: Tim "Grand Master" Curtis, "Master" Frank, and Tom. Also the Director of Lowe Art Museum, Brian Dursum, for kindly turning off the lights in the gallery for my special presentation during the opening night.
